LIN Wei

Dr. Lin serves as Executive Director of P.C.WOO & ZHONGLUN W.D. LLP, Senior Partner of Zhonglun W&D Shanghai Office, and Foreign Lawyer of P.C. Woo & Co., Solicitors (Hong Kong).

Dr. Lin is qualified to practice law in China and registered as a foreign lawyer in Hong Kong. Specializing in cross-border mergers & acquisitions, insolvency restructuring, overseas compliance & anti-corruption, and complex commercial dispute resolution, he provides legal counsel both to multinational corporations and financial insurance institutions operating in China, as well as offers comprehensive legal services supporting Chinese state-owned and private enterprises in their global expansion. This includes strategic overseas investments, financial investments, and compliance-driven international operations management, particularly in Belt and Road Initiative jurisdictions.

Dr. Lin has advised numerous Fortune 500 companies on their China operations. His current and former clients include: General Electric (USA), Alstom Group (France), Ping An Insurance Group, Taiping Insurance Group, Taikang Insurance Group, Barclays Bank (UK), Deutsche Bank (Germany), BNP Paribas (France), Dah Sing Bank (Hong Kong), Bank of Communications Financial Leasing, Tian'an China Investment Group, Uni-President China Investment Group, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, Norinco Group, Joyy Inc., and Perfect World Co., Ltd.

Dr. Lin has participated in numerous international arbitration cases in relation to cross-border investment and maritime affairs, in the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the China Maritime Arbitration Commission, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the ICC International Court of Arbitration (Paris, Geneva), and engaged in dozens of transnational Mergers and Acquisitions projects with an amount over billions of U.S. dollars in Europe, United States, Asia and Africa, involving real estate, engineering construction, machinery manufacturing, new energy, medicine, food, fashion consumer products, educational media, e-commerce, IT industry, etc.

Dr Lin graduated from the Universitéde Paris II in France with a doctorate degree in law. Prior to joining Zhonglun W&D, Mr Lin worked for Ping An of China, as well as the well-known international law firm in Shanghai and Paris. Currently, Mr. Lin is also a registered foreign lawyer of P.C. Woo & Co. in Hong Kong, China representative of AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers), Asia-Pacific regional director of INTERLAW,  visiting professor and external tutor of University of Paris II, Emlyon Business School, Skema Business School, Central South University, Sun Yat-sen University, East China University of Political Science and Law, East China Normal University, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and an expert mediator of the Asian Court of International Arbitration (ACIA), Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC), and Benchmark Chambers International & Benchmark International Mediation Center,
